"PRP seems much quicker than conservative recovery alone, especially without surgery – we are all impressed." Watch how a 7.5-year-old spayed female Golden Retriever with a CCL tear in her right rear leg and mild hip dysplasia was able to recover with the help of a single platelet-rich plasma treatment. This case demonstrates how PRP therapy can provide a non-surgical alternative for CCL injuries in dogs, with this patient seeing a significant functional improvement in just 8 weeks. Our Clinic of the Week is University of Montreal's Birds of Prey Clinic in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec! BoPC is one of the largest programs of its kind in North America. Since its beginning in 1986, the clinic has treated more than 8,000 birds of prey from thirty different species. They recently helped this endangered hawk owl with a broken wing that had come into their care by treating it with orthopedic surgery and hours of physiotherapy, which included several Companion Laser Therapy treatments. He made a full recovery thanks to the tireless efforts of those involved in his care and these innovative treatments. She also discusses why the Companion laser 'felt right' when evaluating Class IV laser options and why the Companion evidence-base was so important. Spending time this week on the road training Companion Animal Healths new reps from way up north to way down south! Also being part of a Q and A session for our APAC teams was great to be part of a global mission to help animals no matter where they are from! One of the reasons I love working where I do is visiting all the customers we have sold to when we go back for training and seeing how the Laser has made a difference to not just the clinic but the patients ??
