Exploring Innovation & Sustainability at the Finland LA28 Showcase ???????? Last week, the Finland LA28 Showcase brought together thought leaders from Finland and Los Angeles to explore innovative solutions for the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games. Focusing on sustainability, mobility, and smart venues, the event showcased Finnish expertise in driving innovation and fostering a more sustainable future through collaboration. The evening included opening remarks by Consul General Okko-Pekka Salmimies, and Deputy Mayor Matthew Hale, followed by a dynamic panel discussion featuring Heather Repenning (Los Angeles Metro), Lori Adams (Nokia), and Outi Valkama (Tampereen kaupunki - City of Tampere), moderated by John Penney from NextGen Foundry. Guests also engaged in meaningful networking and discovered cutting-edge solutions from Finnish companies. [French Mobility Days] Let’s take a look back at our French Mobility Days event! ?? The innovative minds in our cohort are set to revolutionize mobility, and the experience gained from the Paris 2024 Olympics was invaluable as our delegation engaged with local stakeholders, setting the stage for future collaborations in preparation for LA 2028. With over 15 meetings and site visits throughout the week, including with SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, Intuit Dome, Keolis North America Inc., HNTB, LAPD, City of Culver City, City of Long Beach, the future looks bright for transatlantic mobility collaborations.? ?? ? The energy was palpable at CoMotion, where we engaged with Oregon Metro, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) , Federal Highway Administration, LADOT, District Department of Transportation (DDOT), Miami-Dade Innovation Authority, and Partnership for NYC. POMA, Matawan, Flowly, Frauscher Sensor Technology, BLOCK'AXESS, Flowbird Group, Sogeclair, WeMaintain | Certified B Corp shared best practices and lessons learned from Paris 2024, which resonated deeply with the audience. ? Last week, our Mobility Team, in partnership with CoMotion LA, brought out a delegation of 7 UK companies to participate in a weeklong programme dedicated to the future of clean and safe multimodal mobility.
