Integrity: The Foundation of Communication and Community Engagement Success ?? In a world of spin, INTEGRITY makes people actually listen! This framework has been the north star of my communications career. Two integrity principles that transformed our approach: ? "Transparency" (Fostering trust through openness) ? "Taking Responsibility" (Owning mistakes completely) Transparency in our decision-making process turned skeptical community members into engaged partners. One neighborhood leader told me, "I don't always agree with the decisions, but I trust the process." When our team made a significant communication error, we immediately owned it, explained what happened, and shared our plan to move forward. The result? Increased trust rather than criticism. People don't expect perfection—they expect accountability! Has being transparent ever felt challenging in your role? How did you handle it? #IntegrityMatters #AuthenticCommunication #TrustLeadership #communitypositive #teamimpact #servantleadership

WHERE and WHEN Questions for Community Engagement ? Timing is everything in community engagement! Kudos to this critical thinking framework by Justin Wright - it reminded me why WHERE and WHEN questions are absolute gold for our work. For community builders, these WHERE questions are essential: - "Where are potential obstacles located?" - "Where should we monitor the outcomes?" Identifying obstacles early means we can develop strategies to address them, rather than being caught off guard. And by intentionally deciding where to monitor outcomes, we make sure we're measuring what matters to the communities we serve. The WHEN questions that transformed my approach: - "When is the best time to act?" - "When should we expect to see results?" Community engagement isn't just about WHAT we do, but WHEN we do it. The right timing can be the difference between a successful initiative and one that falls flat. And setting realistic timelines for results helps manage expectations and maintain momentum. What's your experience with timing in community projects? Any lessons learned? Your success, my mission | 3x founder & CEO | Former CIO $4B company | DEIB ally | Sharing 24 years of hard-earned leadership & self-mastery wisdom
90% of people think they're critical thinkers. (Only 10% actually are.) What is critical thinking? It's not taking things at face value. It's asking tough questions. It's digging deeper. Why does critical thinking matter? Because it helps you: ? Think for yourself ? Make better choices ? Solve tough problems ? Understand different views ? Develop emotional intelligence ? Protect yourself from manipulation ?? How to think more critically: 1. Question everything Even your own beliefs 2. Look for evidence Don't just trust opinions 3. Consider other viewpoints Step into someone else's shoes 4. Admit when you're wrong It's how you grow 5. Keep learning The world is always changing Critical thinking isn't about being negative. It's about being curious. In a world full of noise, it helps you find the truth. The next time you hear something... Don't just nod. Question. Explore. Think. Because the quality of your thinking determines the quality of your life. ?? Valuable? Repost to share with your network. ?? Follow Justin Wright for more on self-mastery.
