JUST invests in female and minority entrepreneurs to create more resilient communities. We have reimagined global microfinance for the United States by recruiting, training, and supporting entrepreneur leaders to self-organize their own small business support groups. JUST then provides a holistic program of capital, coaching, and community. In Central Texas, we made more than 6,000 loans totaling more than $10M with a 99% repayment rate. We are just getting started.

We believe in a different kind of lending, one that is based on trust, relationships, and community support. ?? The time for change is now. Black women entrepreneurs deserve access, capital, and opportunity, and together, we can make it happen. ?? Who are the Black female entrepreneurs who inspire you? Let’s amplify this conversation. ?? "Don’t sit down and wait for the opportunities to come. Get up and make them." – Madam C.J. Walker For centuries, Black women have been innovators, builders, and leaders, creating businesses that uplift their families and communities, even in the face of systemic barriers. Madam C.J. Walker, the first female self-made millionaire in the U.S., paved the way for generations of Black women entrepreneurs. At JUST, we are proud to continue this legacy by trusting and investing in the next generation of Black women business owners. ? Tag a Black woman entrepreneur who inspires you! ?? ?? ?? We've been bursting to share the news! JUST Community is proud to be a recipient of St. David's Foundation's Community Driven Change grant, focused on elevating organizations engaging community members in decision making and leadership to foster healthier communities in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties. ?? ?? We’ve always believed that the best way to drive real, lasting change is by putting the individuals closest to the problem in decision-making to take the lead in shaping their own futures. ???? ???? ???? It’s an honor to be recognized alongside so many amazing organizations! Check the list out through the post below!
Today, St. David’s Foundation announced $16.5M in grant funding to 38 Central Texas organizations that are doing vital work to foster healthier communities and increase access to health care. The focus and goals of the We All Benefit and Community Driven Change open calls were informed by conversations with our community and grant partners to address current needs and areas of opportunity for our region as the Foundation works to advance health equity across Central Texas. “We are inspired by the exciting community-centered and equity-driven work shared with us through these funding opportunities,” said Regan Gruber Moffitt, VP of Community Investments, St. Davids Foundation. “The response to these two open calls demonstrated the strong commitment of local organizations to address health disparities in our region – particularly for those who have historically had less power and opportunity.” We invite you to learn more about the grant recipients of these funding opportunities, including a data snapshot, here: https://lnkd.in/gw83YmFv

?? ?? ?? We love to see it! Way to go Rashidah Alshams - your voice shined during this panel! JUST is leveraging our balance sheet for the benefit of our client's dreams so that wealth can be created in years, not generations.
Award-winning Leader ??, Gifted Facilitator ??, Systems-Thinker ??. Building teams, not heroes. Let's work together.
?? Wealth is where history shows up in your wallet. ?? ?? On Monday, I heard local panelists, Rashidah Alshams of JUST Community, Marina Garcia at RAISE Texas, and Vanessa Fuentes, Austin City Councilmember shed light on the stark reality of the racial wealth gap in Austin. This isn't just about policies; it's about human impact. The wealth gap isn't just a statistic; it affects your ability to navigate skyrocketing costs, monthly expenses, and, crucially, pursue your dreams. Money isn't just about financial security; it's about mental peace and freedom. ?? ?? Big thanks to Ebony Reed and Louise Story for bringing this crucial conversation to Austin. Check out their book #15CentsontheDollar. ?? Gratitude to Kellie Zesch Weir, CFA for bringing JUST into the conversation. We are leveraging our balance sheet for the benefit of our client's dreams so that wealth can be created in years, not generations.
