Community Children’s Center, Inc. (CCC) has over 50 years experience in delivering high-quality education and support programs to families with young children experiencing poverty and trauma Douglas County, Kansas. We strive to facilitate community connections to build resilient children and families through innovative collaborations and systems change. Our Mission: Bridging the gap in available, affordable, and accessible care in Douglas County. Our Vision: Support. Educate. Collaborate. Building a foundation of lifelong learning and limitless potential, where every child thrives. CCC serves as a community hub emphasizing equity and inclusion, ensuring all children, families, and early care professionals have the opportunities, resources, trauma-informed training, and support. Our Philosophy: CCC believes that each child in our program is deserving of a high-quality early childhood education including high quality staff, instruction, and environment.   • Are you a parent who would like to help other parents through the early childhood journey? Are you good at making connections? Are you willing to share both your triumphs and challenges with other parents on their journey? We are looking for a peer support specialist to work with famlies in need of support, education, or material assistance. This is a peer-based role, meaning we want folks with life experience who can connect with caregivers, help them find out what they need to succeed, and work with our awesome Family Resource Center team to provide it. This week, Miss Stephanie from Lawrence Community Nursery School will be leading songs, stories, and play! Note: If school is cancelled due to the weather, Grow & Go will be cancelled as well.
