Meet Natalie, a utilization review nurse on our medical management team! “I absolutely love my coworkers. They are some of the most genuine people in and outside of the office. They care so much about our members and advocating for the best care for each of them,” she says. “I love that?CommunityCare’s No. 1 priority is our members.” She graduated from nursing school at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in OKC in May 2017 and started working at Saint Francis in the oncology unit and then in outpatient infusion a few years later. She joined CommunityCare in the summer of 2023.?“As much as I loved patient care and building relationships with patients, I had always been interested in utilization management. Of course, working at SFH, I had CommunityCare insurance and had nothing but a good experience and when I saw a UM job open, I knew I had to apply!” The oldest of four, Natalie has two young daughters who are the joys of her life. “Everything I am and everything I do is for them,” she says. “They both do ballet/tap and absolutely love it!” A Great-Pyrenees mix named Millie is also part of the family. Natalie looks forward to visiting Croatia one day and listens to anything true crime, plus she’s a huge Swifty. She enjoys taking trips to her parents’ house at Lake Skiatook, trying new restaurants and cheering for the Sooners and Chiefs during football season. “As an oncology nurse, I heard this several times from many of my patients: if you have dreams and aspirations, don’t wait to make them happen…Take the trip, tell people that you love them, move to where you always wanted to move. Life is short and we are not promised tomorrow,” she says. #CCOKFamily #GreatPlaceToWork #WhereCareMeansMore

Meet Erica, a recruiting specialist on our HR team! “I work with amazing people!” she says. “My team is built of rockstars, and they are all so knowledgeable when it comes to hard, out of the box HR questions. I also work with amazing hiring managers; everyone is so quick to help with questions or feedback.” She started her career in retail while pursuing a marketing degree at NSU Broken Arrow. After finishing, she was promoted into management where she handled customer orders, inventory and back-office retail duties. Erica then decided she wanted to pursue a role with more of a career path, so while looking around she encountered a recruiting firm and was offered a role to be an IT recruitment manager. “I maintained and grew my own clientele with recruiting needs, filling roles like software engineers, system admins, IT technicians, etc. CommunityCare was a client we always worked with, and I always heard amazing things about the company,” she says. “When I saw an opening, I jumped and here I am!” The youngest of seven girls, Erica has more nieces and nephews than she can count. She has a 3-year-old Basset hound named Louise (from Bob’s Burgers) who eats everything in sight, and Erica is looking forward to getting married to her best friend in April. Outside of work, you will very likely find her at the gym. She enjoys going to different fitness studios, cycle or HIIT classes. She loves trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and family and watching movies in the theater or at home. “I also spend a lot of time watching sports, mainly against my will, but I like it sometimes!” she says.? Erica looks forward to visiting Japan one day and describes herself as bubbly, adaptable and determined. And the best words of wisdom she has received: “Be the person you would be proud of!” #CCOKFamily #GreatPlaceToWork #WhereCareMeansMore

Meet Rasheeda, a medication adherence specialist on our quality improvement team! “The best part of working at CCOK is my team and the value I feel being a part of it,” she says. “We all have unique contributions and work to support each other.” In her role, Rasheeda provides outreach to our Medicare Advantage members to improve medication compliance for better health outcomes. Her previous experience in the pharmacy field supports her work at CommunityCare. Rasheeda started her pharmacy career 25 years ago at Walgreens as a summer job and stayed for almost 22 years.?Her roles ranged from senior technician to a corporate role as district pharmacy training coordinator and eventually back at the store level as pharmacy operations manager. Overlapping her career at Walgreens, she expanded her pharmacy experience working part time at several other pharmacies and taught an adult education pharmacy certification classes at Tulsa Tech. Her husband works in IT and they have three children and two very loved dogs. Previously, soccer and marching band kept her family very busy. “Life outside of work used to be endless chaos filled with practices, games, tournaments, rehearsals and competitions. We are all enjoying the off season!” she says. She loves all things true crime, and describes herself as compassionate, capable and creative.?And the best advice she has received is simple yet powerful: “Slow down.” “Even though it was from an Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer, I've applied it to my life in so many ways,” she says. “I've slowed down to reflect, to understand, to solve and to enjoy.?I am embracing this ‘slower’ phase of life that allows me to appreciate the moments I once rushed through.” #CCOKFamily #GreatPlaceToWork #WhereCareMeansMore

Meet Taylor, a technical support specialist on our pharmacy team! “I really love the member interaction that I have,” she says. “My favorite members are the senior members. A lot of them love to tell us about their lives and families and they have a lot of really good advice.” She started in retail pharmacy her senior year of high school, initially at a small pharmacy called Medicap, then she followed her pharmacist to Drug Warehouse and later moved to Economy Pharmacy. She followed her best friend to CommunityCare in 2019. In her role, she takes calls from members, doctors and pharmacies regarding pharmacy claims, copays and authorizations. Taylor is married and has two young boys who are heavily involved in sports. “We spend most of our time as a family on the court or on the field,” she says. “Our boys play in soccer, football, basketball and taekwondo.”? When she is not working, Taylor is likely at the gym lifting something heavy or out walking and running in her neighborhood. “I recently started paddle boarding with some of my friends, so I can’t wait to do more of that in the summer,” she says. An avid reader of all genres, Taylor has more than 200 books in her home library. “When I am not reading fiction books, I am listening to David Goggins’ motivational speeches,” she says. “He is an absolute hero of mine.” She describes herself as dedicated, intense and loud, and her best advice is “Don’t stop when you’re tired, stop when you’re done”. #CCOKFamily #GreatPlaceToWork #WhereCareMeansMore

Meet Samantha, a project manager at CommunityCare! “The people who work here are the best!” she says. “I truly think CommunityCare has done a great job at hiring people who represent what Oklahoma is about. The people I work with are kind, hardworking and always willing to lend a helping hand.” Her career journey is somewhat varied: first job was with Napoli’s Italian restaurant as a hostess, and her longest job was with QuikTrip as an assistant manager for about seven years. After that, she moved to Austin and worked in a drug and alcohol treatment center. She eventually moved back to Broken Arrow to be closer to family and started with CommunityCare in December 2023. Samantha is the proud mom of a teenage son and she’s the second of four children. “Family dinner has always consisted of fun facts, lots of laughs and because my dad is a tech guy, lessons about things like BGP,” she says. Outside of work, she LOVES to crochet and is also taking an improv class. “I almost always have some kind of project with me to keep my hands busy. I’m a creative at heart, so I like to spend my free time making anything and everything – from repurposing plastic shopping bags into a reusable crochet bag or making a shelf out of the many La Croix boxes I go through and paper maché,” she says. Friday nights are for scary movies and Mario’s pizza, and on Saturdays you can typically find Samantha at the Warhammer store in Tulsa spending time with her son. She describes herself as tenacious, passionate and creative, and adds that “I'm so glad I've had the opportunity to work here, and I'm excited to keep growing on this journey.” #CCOKFamily #GreatPlaceToWork #WhereCareMeansMore

Meet Samuel, a health data analyst at CommunityCare! “The people I work with are fantastic,” he says. “It makes a big difference when you get along with your coworkers. Everyone I interact with is patient, kind and always very helpful.” He graduated from UC Davis in 2022 and worked for a local government in California as a water quality analyst for about a year before moving back to Tulsa. He joined CommunityCare in June 2023, and in his role as a health data analyst he works with risk adjustment mainly on the Medicare side. His parents and older brother also reside in Tulsa, and his younger brother is studying engineering at Oklahoma State. Samuel enjoys staying active with camping, hiking or sports and is currently taking night classes. He’s a huge sports fan, likes playing board games with his brothers and friends and spends most of free time reading Brandon Sanderson’s Stormlight Archives. And one day he hopes to visit a certain island country in the South Pacific. “It is a dream of mine to visit New Zealand to watch the All Blacks play (ideally against South Africa) as well as visit the Lord of the Rings film locations.” #CCOKFamily #GreatPlaceToWork #wherecaremeansmore
