Meet Natalie, a utilization review nurse on our medical management team! “I absolutely love my coworkers. They are some of the most genuine people in and outside of the office. They care so much about our members and advocating for the best care for each of them,” she says. “I love that?CommunityCare’s No. 1 priority is our members.” She graduated from nursing school at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in OKC in May 2017 and started working at Saint Francis in the oncology unit and then in outpatient infusion a few years later. She joined CommunityCare in the summer of 2023.?“As much as I loved patient care and building relationships with patients, I had always been interested in utilization management. Of course, working at SFH, I had CommunityCare insurance and had nothing but a good experience and when I saw a UM job open, I knew I had to apply!” The oldest of four, Natalie has two young daughters who are the joys of her life. “Everything I am and everything I do is for them,” she says. “They both do ballet/tap and absolutely love it!” A Great-Pyrenees mix named Millie is also part of the family. Natalie looks forward to visiting Croatia one day and listens to anything true crime, plus she’s a huge Swifty. She enjoys taking trips to her parents’ house at Lake Skiatook, trying new restaurants and cheering for the Sooners and Chiefs during football season. “As an oncology nurse, I heard this several times from many of my patients: if you have dreams and aspirations, don’t wait to make them happen…Take the trip, tell people that you love them, move to where you always wanted to move. Life is short and we are not promised tomorrow,” she says. #CCOKFamily #GreatPlaceToWork #WhereCareMeansMore
