Last week, we were honored to sponsor a forum at The City Club of Cleveland, focused on improving outcomes for youth aging out of the foster care system. We’re deeply grateful to our grantee partners who are doing transformative work to support these young people and their futures: ? A Place 4 Me is making a profound impact by preventing youth homelessness in Cleveland. Through strategic partnerships, they provide housing solutions and critical resources for young adults transitioning out of foster care. ? Fostering Hope brings healing and resilience to foster children in Cleveland by offering trauma-informed, therapeutic experiences that enrich their lives and promote emotional well-being. ? Cleveland Angels is creating lasting change by offering mentorship and ongoing support, helping foster children and families build strong, meaningful relationships that foster emotional stability. ? Community of Hope empowers young adults aging out of foster care by providing essential life skills and emotional support, guiding them toward independence and long-term success. ? CHAIR-ITY INC plays a vital role in easing the transition to adulthood for foster youth, providing furniture and household goods to help them build a solid foundation as they move into independent living. We are proud to support these amazing organizations as they change lives and build brighter futures for Cleveland’s foster youth.

Community West acquired a collection of six sculptures by artist Timothy Schmalz and installed them in Cleveland to start conversations around compassion and injustice. We're thrilled to announce that our Grantmaker, Maureen Stanton, has been selected for the Cleveland Leadership Center Advanced Leadership Institute Class of 2025! The Cleveland Leadership Center’s mission is to cultivate a continuum of civic leaders who are dedicated to the excellence of our community. Through this program, Maureen and other passionate leaders from the city will explore key challenges facing Cleveland and work together to foster understanding, build relationships, and drive transformative change. We know that with Maureen’s leadership and passion for positive impact, our community is in great hands. Together, we’re building a brighter future for Cleveland!

Today, we’re shining a light on the invaluable work of one of our grantees, Joseph & Mary's Home. This Cleveland-based medical respite is part of the Sisters of Charity Health System, and it provides warm care and safe housing to adults experiencing homelessness who have acute health needs. Joseph & Mary’s Home also connects individuals to permanent housing, ongoing primary care and other services.

These funds will fuel organizations working tirelessly to provide mental and physical health services, disability support, and addiction recovery.
