Building Communities, Changing Lives

关于我们

Community Teamwork is a catalyst for social change. We strengthen communities and reduce poverty by delivering vital services and collaborating with key stakeholders to create housing, education and economic opportunities. Our vision is a community of opportunity where fewer people live in poverty. A future where clients are aware of opportunities available and how to access them so they achieve their potential for economic independence and personal growth. Through teamwork we want the community to be a committed and knowledgeable partner which results in fewer people living in poverty. Community Teamwork wants to exceed client, funder and employee expectations. We want clients, staff and community to be inspired to lead personal and community change.

We are humbled that The Healey-Driscoll Administration and state legislators chose Community Teamwork to celebrate the Massachusetts fiscal year 2025 (FY25) state budget making the Commonwealth Cares for Children (C3) program permanent, continuing to be the only state in the nation to continue funding this vital program at the same level the federal government did. "Along with increasing our ability to fairly compensate teachers and staff, C3 grants and other state supplemental funding have enabled us to meet the increasing needs of our children and families. The soon to be open, Rita O'Brien-Dee Center for Behavioral Health and Development, is one of our responses to the great challenge of mental health for our children, staff and families and continued funding through C3 grants is helping us to provide this much needed programming for our community.", said Karen Frederick Community Teamwork CEO. "We are grateful to Governor Maura Healey and her Administration for taking a leadership role in ensuring this critical funding continues." In addition to Governor Healey, in attendance were Secretary of Education Patrick Tutwiler, PhD, State Representative Vanna Howard, State Representative Rodney Elliott , City Manager Tom Golden, Mayor Dan Rourke, City Councilor Vesna Nuon, Rep. Denise Garlick, House Chair of the Joint Committee on Education, Rep. Alice Peisch, Assistant Majority Leader and Governor’s Councilor Eileen Duff. Carl Howell City of Lowell @Lt. I am deeply honored to have been invited to witness the historic signing of the Affordable Homes Act by Office of Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll. This landmark legislation represents a transformative moment in Massachusetts history, marking the largest housing bill ever passed in the state at an astounding $5.2 billion. The Affordable Homes Act encompasses 49 policies designed to address the critical housing needs of our community, from expanding homeownership opportunities to supporting the development of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), seasonal housing supports, and funding incentives for housing development across all income levels. As State Senator Lydia Edwards aptly put it, “We didn't forget you—those at Mass and Cass, sleeping at the airport, those working 2-3 jobs to pay their rent. This isn’t mission accomplished; its mission established.” This bill is not just a commitment to reversing a four-decade downward trend in housing development, but a profound promise to uplift and support every individual in our state. I am grateful for the leadership of the Governor Healey Administration Ed Augustus, the State Legislature's support Aaron Michlewitz Karen Spilka Ronald Mariano Andy Vargas, led by Senator Edwards and Rep Jim Arciero and the tireless efforts of all who have worked towards this pivotal achievement Abundant Housing MA Jesse Kanson-Benanav Kassie Infante. Together, we are paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable housing future. #AffordableHousing #Massachusetts #HousingReform #CommunityFirst #GovernorHealey #HistoricLegislation
