We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Marilee Clark, who recently celebrated her 39th anniversary with Community Missions. As our Vice President of Youth Services, Marilee devoted her life and career to helping young people in our community, particularly those needing some extra supports. Anyone who knew Marilee will never forget her dedication to making a difference, her candor, and her sense of humor. Marilee was a problem solver and a fierce advocate for youth. Her legacy will be seen in the countless youth whom she served and supported-many who returned to see her, and offer their thanks for her efforts on their behalf. She was a daily example of our motto,?#CompassionInAction Our thoughts and prayers are with her mother, Ruth, her brother, Michael, and her family and friends at this time. Community Missions was honored to receive a monetary donation from young author, Nakia Johnson. Nakia is an 8-year-old resident of Niagara Falls who loves to help others. One of her dreams is to help the homeless population. Nakia graciously donated a portion of her book sales to Community Missions. She even signed a copy of her book, “Make Your Dreams Come True” for us! Nakia was given a tour of the building and learned about all the different ways that we help the community.
