CMA is actively monitoring the activity in the Gulf of Mexico, Hurricane Helene, which has the potential to develop into a severe weather event. Hurricane Helene is expected to make landfall along Florida’s Gulf Coast Thursday evening. It is expected to produce winds up to 125 mph and be a category 2 or 3 hurricane. If it develops as expected, metro Atlanta, Birmingham, and Nashville areas may also experience strong winds and heavy rain Thursday into Friday. To mitigate the risk of heavy winds and rain, please secure any loose items on your property, including on your patios or balconies and in your yard. CMA recommends bringing small items inside or ensuring they are properly secured outside. If your community’s association-maintained common elements encounter damage from the storm, CMA is here to help.
