Building and managing homes for some of Central Ohio's most vulnerable people.
关于我们
People struggling with mental illness, addiction, or homelessness need a source of stability. For more than 30 years, Community Housing Network has been that source. We start with housing, because it enables our residents to feel safe, maybe for the first time in a long while. It shows them we value their resilience and believe in their potential. But our work isn't just housing. It's building. We build a support system to help people overcome crises and obstacles. We build a network of services and partners to address every need. We build a safety net that empowers residents to move forward, knowing we have their back. We build a sense of belonging and community. Above all at Community Housing Network, we make sure people have options and opportunities. With us, they have more than a place to stay; they have a place to truly live.

Thank you, Bonnie Meibers and Columbus Business First, for spotlighting Samantha Shuler's impact! Although we will miss Samantha when she leaves CHN, we know she will continue to be a champion for affordable housing and a voice for the most vulnerable in our community. We deeply appreciate her leadership and unwavering dedication to the CHN mission over the past two decades.
"I'll continue to advocate in the field in some way to keep trying to get people to understand how incredibly foundational housing is."

Dear friends, As some of you may know, Samantha Shuler will be leaving her post as CHN’s CEO this Spring. The Board reluctantly accepted her resignation last fall, and for the last several months, the board and our search committee, alongside the search firm Benefactor Group, have undergone a national search for CHN’s next leader. I am very pleased to share that Annissa Lambirth-Garrett will be the next CEO of CHN, officially beginning her tenure here in Columbus in mid-March. Annissa comes to us from the Chicago Low-Income Housing Trust Fund (CLIHTF), where she has served as the Executive Director and CEO since 2016. First, it is important to recognize the immense gratitude and respect the entire CHN board has for Sam. The passion, dedication, and leadership Sam has given CHN for the last 20 years have changed the footprint of this organization, and we are so thankful for her tenure. CHN as an organization, our community, and the landscape of affordable housing in Franklin County would not be where it is today without Sam’s leadership and the hard work and dedication of our incredible team at CHN. Sam will stay with CHN in an advisory capacity through early April and will be directly involved in Annissa’s onboarding to ensure a smooth and successful transition for both Annissa and our team. We wish Sam all the best in her next endeavor and look forward to see what she does next. Annissa is a seasoned nonprofit leader with more than 30 years of experience in the affordable housing sector, both in terms of operation and development. During her time at CLIHTF, Annissa oversaw programs providing rent subsidies for more than 3,300 affordable housing units in Chicago. Annissa’s wealth of experience, coupled with her many accolades, demonstrates her expertise and leadership in the field. She impressed us with her engaging leadership style and her passion for developing people. We have found Annissa to be a warm, caring leader who consistently prioritizes the best interests of those she serves. Importantly, we believe Annissa has the energy and proven track record to engage quickly with all our stakeholders in furthering our mission throughout Central Ohio and we are excited to welcome her to our community in March. Sincerely, JV Wulf, ?Board Chair CHN Board of Trustees
