Community Housing Network’s PATH Street Outreach Manager, Shawna Reynolds, was invited by police Captain Paul Houtos last week to speak with more than 100 police officers and their Command Staff at the Warren Police Department. During her presentation on behalf of CHN and the PATH street outreach team, Shawna discussed our team’s nonviolent crisis intervention training experience in partnership with Macomb County Community Mental Health. Shawna addressed six different shifts of patrol officers over a two-day period, focusing on more effective collaborations to help police better protect and serve people experiencing homelessness. 👏 #CommunityHousingNetwork #StreetOutreach #CommunityPartnerships #CHNInTheCommunity

🥳 Happy Retirement, Susan! 🥳 Yesterday, we said farewell (but never goodbye!) to Susan Todd as she retired after nearly 15 years with Community Housing Network. As a Housing Resource Center Specialist, Susan has always gone the extra mile for those we serve—meeting people where they are, offering support in their most difficult moments, and sharing stories of hope that reminded them they’re not alone. ❤️ Her impact goes beyond just her compassion. Susan played a key role in expanding CHN’s reach, helping establish our first office in Macomb County and contributing to the opening of our Grafton Townhomes in Eastpointe. 🏠 Her dedication has changed so many lives, and we are forever grateful. Susan, we wish you all the happiness in this new chapter of your life. You will be deeply missed, but your legacy will always be a part of CHN. As a committee member, she helped plan this event to educate landlords on the benefits of housing assistance programs.
