Yesterday, we had the privilege of participating in the Salvation Army’s 32nd Annual Kettle Kick-Off event at the Modesto Centre Plaza, and it was an inspiring day of community spirit and giving! Today at our All Staff Meeting, we had the privilege of presenting several special awards to members of our team, including the LeFevre Family Fund and Jameson Family Memorial Fund Scholarships, Hospice Aids of the Year, and Standards of Excellence Awards. These individuals exemplify the dedication, compassion, and excellence that make Community Hospice & Health Services so special. In addition, we showed our support for National Children’s Grief Awareness Day by wearing blue. This important day raises awareness and provides resources for grieving children worldwide, a cause close to our hearts. We are so proud of our team and the work we do together to support those in need. Have you ever wondered how the beautiful windows in the chapel at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House came to be? These windows represent the four seasons. They were envisioned by Chaplain Charlie Crane and made possible from the generosity of many in our community. As Sally Cofer-Lindberg beautifully wrote in her book, The Hospice Heart, the windows are symbolic of the Hospice Heart: holding hands while letting go...living every moment of life fully and completely...forgiving and healing...remembering and rejoicing...sharing and caring...until the very last heartbeat and beyond. #ACHH #CommunityHospiceHealthServices #CHHS
