????Beware of potential ICE raids this week!???? ICE enforcement has been reported in various regions of LA and Orange Counties, including Macarthur Park, DTLA, Lincoln Heights, Boyle Heights, South Gate, Exposition Park, Pomona, Huntington Beach, Fullerton, and Garden Grove. The Trump administration's unconscionable plan to remove millions of immigrants living throughout our nation continues to employ aggressive ICE enforcement tactics targeting our homes, our workplaces, and public spaces. Get prepared NOW, stay vigilant, and fight for your rights! Be aware that immigration agents may drive vehicles or wear uniforms that say “POLICE” but are not actually local law enforcement. They may present a sham warrant that is not signed by a magistrate judge. They may also aggressively pressure you to open your door, follow them, or give them information. Do not be fearful or forget about your Constitutional rights. Stay diligent to protect yourselves and your loved ones! ??Find more resources for safety planning in English and multiple Asian languages: ajsocal.org/immigration/ If you see ICE in our communities, contact your local rapid response hotline: Los Angeles: 888-624-4752 Orange County: 714-881-1558 San Bernardino/Riverside: 909-361-4588 Santa Barbara/Ventura/San Luis Obispo: 805-870-8855 Central Valley: 559-206-0151 Kern County: 661-432-2230 ??Or, if you need assistance in Asian Languages: ajsocal.org/contact/ #AJSOCAL #AAPIresource #AAPIcommunity #Immigrants #ImmigrantRights #stayinformedandstaysafe #informedimmigrant #safeandsoundimmigration #safepathways #safeimmigrant

Participants will create individual art pieces and calls to action, culminating in a community showcase. All skill levels are welcome, with priority for youth from Black, Brown, AANHPI, and Native communities, especially those impacted by system involvement. ??? Project Manager - Non Profit, FinTech Organizations

I’ll never forget my first in-person work event at Rising Communities - an exciting moment in the era of remote work, when meeting colleagues face-to-face felt like a true milestone. I was eager to dive into the community, get my feet wet, and do my part. My role that day seemed simple: checking in participants for a speech craft workshop we were hosting. But nothing could have prepared me for the first person to walk through the door: a mother of five, twins under one year old in tow. It was early, and I was still a little groggy when I saw her maneuvering the stroller with such ease. What struck me most was the pure joy in her face. I couldn’t help but think, How on earth did she manage this? She had somehow found the time - not just to feed five kids and dress them, but also to care for her own needs, get in the car, and show up to this workshop to learn something new. It was a kind of quiet strength, a self-discipline I could only admire. The workshop went beautifully, and I even got to help her with one of the babies. She wasn’t the only mom who showed up with kids that day, and thankfully, our company provided childcare, so these women could engage fully in their learning without distraction. It made me think: What if more mothers could experience this kind of support? What if every mother had the time and resources to invest in herself and her future? This is why I'm asking you to join me in supporting the Mothers Rising for Guaranteed Basic Income initiative. We need to ensure that women - especially mothers - can thrive without having to choose between their growth and their responsibilities. If you’re reading this, YOU have the power to make that future a reality. Together, we can help remove the obstacles that hold women back. Please, make a difference today by donating to our End of Year Giving Campaign. Click the link below to contribute, and thank you for standing with mothers everywhere.
