Join us in celebrating the powerful impact of women—past, present, and future. Together, let’s amplify their voices and honor their contributions today and every day. Stephanie Surratt, CFGG's Communication Specialist, spotlights Temoura Jefferies founder of The Buy Black Guide! "Temoura Jefferies embodies unwavering dedication and passion. In 2020, she founded the Buy Black Guide, a comprehensive directory showcasing Black-owned brands, businesses, and professionals in the Triad area. Her deliberate efforts to circulate Black wealth and commitment to bridging systemic/economic disparities in the African American community are truly remarkable. Having had the privilege of collaborating with Temoura on multiple occasions, I can personally attest to her professionalism, strategic vision, and unwavering dedication to uplifting our community. Thank you for inspiring us all!" To read the full story, visit cfgg.org/impact #cfgg #community #gso #greensboro #nonprofits #grants #communityfoundation

On February 22nd, the Teen Grantmaking Council (TGC) held it's annual interview event where TGC members engaged with youth grantseekers representing 12 different organizations. TGC members had the opportunity to hear from youth leads who submitted a proposal to TGC members and learn more about their projects which focused youth development and education, food security and sustainability, and/or race and immigrant/refugee status. Later that afternoon, the TGC awarded $20,000 in grants determined through thoughtful discussion and (mostly) consensus-based decision making. This day was a powerful reminder that grantmaking can be leveraged as a tool for change making as the TGC strives to give young people the power to change our community. Stay tuned for the 2025 Teen Grantmaking Council Grantees! #tgcgso #teengrantmakingcouncil #cfgg #community #gso #greensboro #nonprofits #grants #communityfoundation
