关于我们
Established in 1985, the Community Foundation of Central Illinois was brought to life by a group of community-minded citizens excited to leverage their generous donations to make lasting change in our community. From the start, CFCI has focused on building permanent endowments as charitable capital to serve the needs of central Illinois. Over the years, we have contributed over $25,000,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations making a real impact in our community. Our high professional standards in the investment and management of funds entrusted to CFCI is recognized and accredited by the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations – the highest standard for philanthropic excellence. The Community Foundation of Central Illinois was created to serve donors with diverse interests at various levels of charitable giving. With extensive knowledge of the community, we link our donors with charitable agencies with the mission and vision that align with their own objectives and philanthropic desires. We also offer maximum flexibility in terms of assets that can be used to create a fund and options for the use of donors’ gifts. For more information, please visit www.communityfoundationci.org.

A bonus post for Neighborhood House Association and their Youth Education Program because this one is too fun not to share! This program is completely free to participants, focuses on education and enrichment activities, and strengthens youth by providing much needed support, both after school and during school breaks. As you can see, we were lucky enough to visit during art and polka time!

CFCI has long been a proud supporter and champion of the arts in central Illinois and was honored to receive the ArtsPartner of the Year Award several weeks ago. CEO Mark Roberts shared, “In the last five years we have granted back into this community nearly $700,000 in support of arts initiatives…We know that investing in arts organizations, investing in working artists, and other related initiatives helps with the vibrancy and the quality of life in this community. That’s what we’re here for, to improve the quality of life in this community.”

The Women’s Fund is an endowed fund at CFCI that has been advancing the well-being of girls and women for over 30 years! The Women’s Fund has granted more than half a million dollars to programs that support and empower women and girls - improving their health, creating economic opportunity, and building skills necessary for success. Why? Because the evidence shows that investments made in girls and women create a ripple effect that results in better lives for their families and a stronger community for all.
