Today, we took our critical work to Capitol Hill for Feeding America's annual food bank fly-in. CFBNJ President & CEO Elizabeth McCarthy and AVP of Policy & Advocacy Adele LaTourette, alongside leadership from Food Bank of South Jersey and Fulfill, met with the offices of Senator Cory Booker, Senator Andy Kim, Congressman Tom Kean, and Congressman Jeff Van Drew about the urgent needs to protect SNAP and address food insecurity in the Garden State. Food is a basic human right. We need bold, inclusive policies and government programs that guarantee everyone's access to the nourishment they need — because no one should ever go hungry.
