Meet Allan, a dedicated Community Food Share volunteer and monthly donor!?? After over 30 years of creating magic on Broadway stages, Allan found a new calling in retirement—helping others. Twice a week, he volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, but that wasn’t enough for him. “I needed to do something for people who are having a much harder time,” Allan says. That’s when Allan found Community Food Share. Now, not only does he dedicate his time to fighting hunger, but he also became a monthly donor. “My wife and I are very lucky, and we want to share some of that with those who need it most.” Through our 303 Sustainers monthly giving program, Allan is helping us support 40+ partner agencies like Harvest of Hope and Boulder Shelter for the Homeless. “By giving to Community Food Share, I’m making a bigger impact.” ?? 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Yared Nuguse isn't just fast on the track – he's also quick to lend a hand! Since moving to Boulder, Yared has been volunteering at Community Food Share for over a year, balancing his busy training schedule with a passion for giving back. "I love staying busy and giving back," Yared says. "Community Food Share offers the flexibility to volunteer when I can, and it feels great to help out." Guess who got their hands dirty and loved every minute of it? ?? That’s right—our Community Food Share team! Last week, our team had the BEST time at our Community Roots Farm! ?? We rolled up our sleeves and had a blast harvesting fresh produce and cleaning garlic! We’re incredibly thankful for our amazing Community Roots team, who have been working tirelessly all season long to bring fresh, nutritious produce to our neighbors in need. Your dedication is making a real difference in our community! ??
