Community Emergency Assistance Programs (CEAP)

Thank you for volunteers from Brillect for packing personal hygiene kits with CEAP! These kits, filled with items like hand sanitizer, face masks, and tissues, will help keep our neighbors healthy and happy this winter. Thank you Brillect!

This Give to the Max Day, you really demonstrated that the CEAP community is filled with abundance. CEAP surpassed our goal of raising $75,000 to fund our "CEAP On the Move" programs with $80,343 raised by 203 donors. Thank you for continuing CEAP's over 50-year tradition of neighbors helping neighbors!

Give to the Max Day is here! Today is a celebration of the incredible abundance of our community. It is a day to look within ourselves to?acknowledge and share the unique abundance in each of our lives:?How am I showing up for my neighbors today? How can I challenge attitudes of scarcity, when I know that our community has each other's backs??What can I do today to make sure my neighbors know they can count on our community safety net? 2024 is the hungriest year our community has ever seen.?CEAP is on track for a record amount of food served as we see the highest need for our Food Market in our 52-year history. At the same time, we know that?many neighbors face barriers?- like mobility challenges and lack of access to transportation – that prevent them from reaching CEAP’s doors.?That’s where “CEAP On the Move” steps in.? GrapeTree Medical Staffing has saved the day in CEAP's Food Market a couple times when we were short on volunteers! Thank you for helping us pack bread bags and sort food donations to share with our community. For Give to the Max Day, Minnesota’s giving holiday, we are asking our community to support “CEAP On the Move”, our programs that extend into the community to share nutritious food and community connections where they’re needed most: Meals on Wheels hot meal delivery, Mobile Market events at accessible host sites, and CEAP At Your Step grocery delivery for seniors. Our goal is to raise $75,000, and we're already making great progress thanks to a $20,000 match from CEAP's Board and community partners. This lovely group from MedEligible Services joined CEAP this week to pack seasonal autumn produce: apples, potatoes, and onions! This week, the Cummins Inc. leadership team joined CEAP in kicking off the colder season by building chili kits for our community! These kits will warm the hearts and bellies of our neighbors as winter approaches. CEAP was honored to be named Cummins's 2023 Community Partner of the Year and we enjoyed this opportunity to show their leadership team our work in action. Thank you, Cummins!
