"Expanding bachelor's degree programs at community colleges would be a valuable step toward addressing this demand."
NEW REPORT ALERT! In The RP Group's "Distance Matters: Exploring Geographic Barriers to Transfer for California College Students" report, we investigated how proximity to a public university affected transfer outcomes for #CACommunityCollege students. Key findings include: -Distance matters: The farther away a community college is located from a public California university, the lower the transfer rates for that college. -Identity matters: There are higher representations of Latine, first-generation, and low-income students in university deserts. These findings underscore the urgent need to address the influence of distance on educational opportunities. Read the report to learn more: https://ow.ly/HU7O50U3BOx
