February is National Cancer Prevention Month! This is a great time to highlight the importance of prevention, early detection, and timely treatment in the fight against cancer. At Community Care Partnership of Maine, we are proud of the work our member organizations do every day to support patients through screening programs, education, and comprehensive care. From increasing access to preventive screenings to ensuring timely follow-ups and treatment, our members are committed to reducing the impact of cancer in our communities. As part of our commitment to supporting these efforts, we’ve developed a Colorectal Cancer Screening Toolkit, with Breast and Cervical Cancer Toolkits coming soon! These resources are designed to help providers and care teams improve screening rates and facilitate early detection. Prevention starts with awareness and action. On February 6 &7, CCPM’s Clinical Quality Manager, Dusty Hillman, and CCPM’s Data Analytics & IS Manager, Erin Leighton, RHIA, CHPS Leighton, attended the NAACOS Boot Camp for Clinical Operations and Data Analytics in Orlando, Florida. The Boot Camp was designed for intermediate to advanced participants, offering insights into Medicare accountable care and population health to support the effective administration and operation of a successful ACO, emphasizing strategies for success in Medicare value-based care models.

We are proud to celebrate the incredible years of service our staff members have dedicated to CCPM and our members. Today, we recognize Mary Prybylo, who has been with CCPM since the very beginning. As she retires from St. Joseph’s Healthcare, we are grateful that she will continue her work with CCPM, bringing her leadership and passion into this next chapter. Each member of our team plays a vital role in our success, and we deeply appreciate their dedication and contributions. In March, during our annual member meeting, we will proudly present the 2025 CCPM Annual Awards, including the Mary Prybylo Collaboration Award—a recognition given to an individual who embodies Mary’s collaborative spirit and commitment to advancing population health.
