CSW is the largest annual gathering of global gender justice activists, but it can also be overwhelming - especially for young activists navigating high-pressure environments. We’re creating a space that centers care, mental health, and movement sustainability. ?? Who is this for? This space is open to CSW attendees seeking respite, as well as NYC-based activists who may not be involved in CSW but are passionate about activist well-being, collective care, and sustaining social justice work. ? What’s Happening? ?? Community Care in Social Justice Movements – A conversation on embedding care into activism to prevent burnout ?? Decolonizing Care Discussion – Reimagining care beyond colonial, capitalist frameworks ?? Creative Writing Workshop – Using writing as a tool for healing and storytelling ?? Banner Mural Painting – A collaborative art space for creative resistance ?? Rest & Reflection Space – A quiet, intentional space to pause and reset ?? (Potentially) Open Mic & Live Music! ???
