Today, Meclina Gomes and I returned a newly imagined piece of art to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth and with help from our friend Franklin Marvel and BIDs wonderful Head of Maintenance Kevin Webber. This newly imagined piece of public art now includes art from the Herring Pond Wampanoag Tribe in partnership with Plymouth Public Schools. It also includes original poetry from Plymouth’s first poet laureate, Stephan Delbos A big thank you to Karen Peterson and Erin Yale for bringing this art back to the hospital. We are so pleased to share this reimagined art with the community in the place it was inspired by. #inthistogether

On Juneteenth of this year, CAC in collaboration with Pilgrim Hall Museumshared the story of Parting Ways and important part of Plymouth’s history that is not always highlighted. Meclina Gomes and I started CAC in 2020 and this story like many that are not always told has been a central part of how we look at story telling and community building.
