We are excited to share some fantastic news about Nathan Curry, a valued member of our team at Community Action Partnership of North Alabama (CAPNA). Nathan was recently contacted by State Senator Sam Givhan and Representative Rex Reynolds with news of his appointment to the Madison County Judicial Commission Committee. This is an honor and a significant responsibility, and we are proud of Nathan for taking on this role. The Madison County Judicial Commission plays a crucial part in the judicial appointment process within Madison County, Alabama. The committee is tasked with interviewing attorneys and providing recommendations to Governor Kay Ivey, who then makes appointments to fill circuit and district judge vacancies in the county. As a committee member, Nathan will contribute to ensuring that qualified individuals are nominated to fill these important judicial positions. Nathan’s appointment to the Madison County Judicial Commission Committee is set to last until May 8th, 2029, and he is looking forward to contributing his expertise to this nonpartisan body. He was nominated by Representative Rex Reynolds and was confirmed by the Alabama House Judiciary Committee. The commission consists of eight members, each playing an essential role in maintaining the integrity and excellence of the judiciary. Nathan is no stranger to public service. Nathan also served as the President of the Madison County School Board. However, in the Fall of 2024, he announced that he would not seek re-election to the board, stating, “There is a season for everything, and in November 2024, my season on the Board of Education will end.” Nathan’s dedication to community service has been evident since he was, and this new appointment marks another exciting chapter in his continued service to Madison County. We are proud to have Nathan as part of the CAPNA team, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact he will undoubtedly have in his new role on the Madison County Judicial Commission Committee. Please join us in congratulating Nathan on this prestigious appointment and for his ongoing commitment to serving his community. #CAPNA #Congratulations #JudicialCommission

At Community Action Partnership of North Alabama, we are constantly inspired by the dedication and growth of our team members. Today, we take a moment to express our deep gratitude to Aron Boldog, our Director of Real Estate Development, as he transitions to a new chapter in his career. Aron’s journey with CAPNA began in 2013 when he joined our team as a member of the Facilities Team within the Children’s Services Department. From the very start, his work ethic and commitment to service stood out. It was evident that Aron’s passion for making a difference in the community would fuel his growth within CAPNA. His ability to adapt, learn, and innovate quickly earned him a spot on the Real Estate Development Team. Aron’s leadership and vision were key in transforming a small, two-person team into a robust eight-person operation. Under his guidance, CAPNA’s Real Estate Development department has played a pivotal role in securing affordable housing across Alabama, South Carolina, and Georgia. His strategic direction, attention to detail, and tireless commitment to our mission have made a lasting impact on the lives of countless families who now have access to safe and affordable housing. As Aron moves on to continue his work with The Bennett Group in Auburn, Alabama, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for everything he has contributed to CAPNA. His time with us has been marked by incredible growth, both for him personally and for our organization. While we will certainly miss his leadership, we are excited for the future and know that Aron will continue to make a profound impact in the field of real estate development. Thank you, Aron, for your years of dedication, your vision, and the positive change you’ve helped create. We wish you all the best in your next endeavors and look forward to seeing the continued success you will achieve in partnership with The Bennett Group. You will always be a part of the CAPNA family. #CAPNA

Our Senior Programs play a vital role in the community. Every volunteer leaves a lasting impression on each of their clients. The Senior Companion program helps keep seniors in their own homes and relieve the caretaking burden from families. Volunteering 5-40 hours each week helps an average of 1 to 3 adults live independently in their own homes. Our Foster Grandparents program provides a critical service for at-risk children in your community. Volunteering 15-40 hours each week with in the Foster Grandparent program provides the kind of comfort and love that sets a child on a path to a successful future. The 2024 Senior Companion Volunteer of the Year is Raymond Ruth. One of Raymond's clients' wife had this to say: "Now that Raymond visits, my husband is now smiling, laughing, and joking, asking “Is Raymond coming today?” We both look forward to our visits from Raymond.” The 2024 Foster Grandparent of the Year is Dorothy Burton. Her classroom teacher had this to say: ""Grandma Burton Is an absolute joy to have In my class. She enters the classroom dally and gets to work. The students and I love her dearly.
