We are currently seeking a Head Start Accountant! The Head Start Accountant provides fiscal management, compliance oversight, and technical support for the Head Start program. This role ensures accurate tracking and reporting of all financial transactions, including budgets, grants, and in-kind contributions, and works closely with program leadership to align expenditures with federal, state, and agency regulations. The Head Start Accountant will also manage in-kind contribution processes and collaborate with the program team to track professional development expenditures for teaching staff. Head Start parents, caregivers, teachers, staff, friends, and neighbors! ?? We need your help to let our lawmakers know about Head Start's impact. Head Start is currently funded under a Continuing Resolution (CR) that expires on March 14, 2025. Before the CR expires, Congress must pass a full FY25 budget that funds Head Start at the levels proposed in the Senate’s Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations (Labor/HHS) Bill.
