  • Another incredible Lifesavers Conference on Roadway Safety in the books! Our team joined the nation’s largest gathering of roadway safety professionals in Long Beach, CA, where we gained valuable insights into successful communication strategies, learned from the innovative efforts of agencies across the U.S. and brought home fresh ideas to continue our mission of making Colorado’s roads safer for everyone. #Lifesavers2025

  • CIG has spent years helping keep the public informed about major I-70 infrastructure projects — from Central 70 and Floyd Hill to the Mountain Express Lanes and Twin Tunnels. Now, we’re excited to support the I-70 Picadilly Interchange project in Aurora, where big improvements are well underway! This project is constructing a new diverging diamond interchange on I-70 at Picadilly Road in Aurora to make traffic flow smoother and safer. Once finished, it will ease congestion, improve connections for Aurora, and make travel safer and more accessible with better signals, improved lighting and new bike and pedestrian paths. Check out AuroraGov.org/I70Picadilly to learn more!

  • CIG is proud to have been selected to lead communications for the City of Denver’s new citizen-driven sidewalk repair program alongside HNTB and Sidewalk Delivery Partners! With 40% of Denver’s sidewalk network either missing or too narrow, this program will create a comprehensive plan to repair hazardous sidewalks, rebuild deficient ones and construct new sidewalks where they’re needed most. Once fully completed, Denver's sidewalk network will span approximately 3,489 miles — the equivalent of walking from Denver to New York City and back again! We’re excited to help bring this vision to life and create a safer, more connected city. https://lnkd.in/gqshMCHm

  • Interns of Endearment ?? Did you know? Nine of our current team members started as interns at CIG! Four have been here for 10+ years, and five came aboard in the last two. We like to think it’s because we know how to pick ‘em... or maybe they know how to pick us. Either way, we’re all about recognizing talent, nurturing growth and building a strong, happy team that wants to stay for the long haul. Interested in a summer internship at CIG? Contact [email protected].

  • We couldn’t do what we do without the incredible partners, collaborators and trusted community voices by our side. This week, we’re bidding a fond farewell to one of our oldest and most valued partners — the Marijuana Industry Group (MIG), which is winding down its operations. MIG has played a critical role in shaping Colorado’s cannabis industry and has been a trusted voice on policy and regulatory issues. For nearly a decade, MIG and its members have worked closely with CDOT and CIG on initiatives to convince Coloradans to never drive high. A huge thank you to MIG for all the dedication and hard work over the years — you will be missed, but your influence will continue to inspire us as we keep pushing for safer roads in the years ahead!

  • Public relations, it’s a blast! ?? Our team took the media behind the scenes on the I-70 Floyd Hill project, offering a first-hand look at rock blasting for the project, which will continue through 2026. Rock blasting is a crucial part of the project to widen I-70, rebuild and replace bridges over the highway, and straighten curves to improve safety. Stay in the loop on travel impacts by texting floydhill to 21000.

  • Last month, our airport team attended the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) Aviation Summit, joining professionals from across the state to focus on creating economic equity, access and wealth for minorities and women in the aviation and aerospace industries. The event brought together speakers from Denver International Airport, Colorado Springs Airport and Arapahoe County Airport, as well as prominent leaders from adjacent industries. We’re especially excited that one of our own, Kara, serves on the AMAC Denver Chapter board and played a key role in making the event a success! ??
