How fitting to conduct a workshop in the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum classic car museum for leaders of nonprofit organizations. Kathleen Alter, of the DeKalb County Community Foundation is mindful of NPO needs as she seeks grants that provide much needed support in her community. These leaders who wear many hats came to learn some time-saving methods for optimizing channels to communicate their message and evaluate the impact vs. effort of those channels. I had a great time with this group who came to elevate their speaking! They shared ideas, practiced frameworks, and modified confusing language. They provided feedback, gave support, and impacted us with insights. I am grateful to those who attended and those who shared the invite.

Learning and hanging out with the cool kids drew me to this AI event where teams created a business with branding, LLC docs, a jingle, logo, social media posts and pitches within one hour. We used used an assortment of AI tools to generate plans for a travel businesss. Each team was given new prompts every 15 minutes and scored with an AI system and a human system. Our team was awarded a trophy mug for the team with the highest AI score. It was a fun way to experience different AI tools and apply them in realistic ways. This team and gamifying approach to learning and exposure to new tech supports research about collaborative teams and learning. I had the privalege of working with FFA leaderahip teams last week and was reminded of how many good ideas can be generated from a group working collaboratively. Framing questions garnered answers unique to their culture and solutions they know how to implement. Role play and the debrief that followed revealed the need for taking the time to listen, ask questions, and follow up to build trust, find solutions, and implement a plan.
