Our CFO, Rose MacIsaac participated in a panel discussion at last week's California Primary Care Association meeting. She was joined by Brent Copen from LifeLong Medical Care and Molly Jouaneh, CMA from Petaluma Health Center for the session "Growth, Mergers, Business Line Economics, and Back-Office Infrastructure" to share strategies for helping inform decisions to promote long-term health and viability for community health centers. Topics discussed ranged from strategies to increase revenue and enhance recruitment and retention of providers to managing costs when there is not an ability to grow revenue. One of the key takeaways is that health centers, like CommuniCare+OLE, are all facing similar challenges and struggles to do more with less while continuing to provide high-quality care to some of the most vulnerable members of our communities. We can learn a lot from one another, and we look forward to continuing the dialogue started on this panel. #cpca #communityhealthcenter

Today, our CEO Alicia Ferguson Hardy, MBA, LCSW, MSW was joined by our Chief Behavioral and Community Health Officer, Sara Gavin in Sacramento to accept the Nonprofit of the Year award for CommuniCare+OLE. We were honored to be nominated by Bill Dodd for this prestigious award. Thank you, Senator Dodd, for nominating us and recognizing the work we do to build healthier communities across Napa, Solano, and Yolo Counties.
