Bingo! Several CommuniCare West Virginia locations, including Bridgeport, Clarksburg, Crestview Manor, River Oaks and Maplewood, partnered to host a bingo event in support of the Alzheimer's Association, West Virginia Chapter! It was a wonderful day with a great turnout and $5,000 raised. Thank you to everyone who joined us. ??

At 42 years old, Jalon first came to Kensington Healthcare Center in Kensington, MD, from Washington Hospital on August 28, 2024. He was initially hospitalized for 13 open wounds from a burn at his home. Jalon received occupational and physical therapy services to improve his strength and Activities of Daily Living (ADL). By the end of September, he was fully independent with his ADL skills and graduated from CommuniCare Rehabilitation, but continued to receive daily wound care from the facility’s wound care team as well as a burn clinic. In early October, Jalon received a report that his wounds had substantially decreased, thanks to the fantastic care teams involved. He is now fully healed and discharged home with his loved ones! Congratulations, Jalon! We are so proud and honored to be part of your journey and wish you the very best. ?? #SuccessStory

Kokomo Healthcare Center celebrated National Family Caregivers Month with a coffee and donut drive through! A heartfelt thanks goes to all caregivers who provide care and medical assistance to loved ones, including those who braved the wind and rain to celebrate with us. Earlier this month, our West Virginia therapy directors gathered for regional meetings. They learned about new systems, discussed future strategies, and had some fun team building with bowling! We are grateful for their leadership during #ThankfulNovember and always. ??

Morgantown Healthcare Center celebrated National Play Monopoly Day with Senior ELCM Logan Ashley dressed as Mr. Monopoly to pass out goodies. Congrats to Housekeeper Tim Scheuvront for winning the trivia! ????

It's been a wonderful #ThankfulNovember at Holly Hill Healthcare Center! Congratulations to Activities Leader Temeeka Torrence for being recognized as their 3rd Quarter Care Champion! Temeeka is truly a #TrueBlue rock star and brings so much pride and enthusiasm to her role. We are incredibly grateful to have her on our team! They also kicked off the "True Blue Goes Gold" theme with homemade cinnamon rolls that had gold icing, thanks to Executive Director John Bethea. ???
