The arts are at a turning point—how we lead today will shape the future. Forbes’ Timothy J. McClimon highlights six steps arts leaders must take to stay relevant, from deepening community ties to embracing innovation. His insights align with Alex Sarian’s recent book, The Audacity of Relevance, which challenges us to rethink our role in a changing world. Are we pushing the arts forward, or just keeping up? It’s time to take action. How is your organization adapting to the future? https://lnkd.in/eJ5Fc9q8 #ArtsLeadership #Innovation #FutureOfTheArts #ArtsDevelopment #ArtsEducation #Leadership

“Dona nobis pacem” means “Grant us peace.” 151 students from Hong Kong and Germany rehearse together, preparing to put on a beautiful performance to an audience of parents, teachers, and guests. Outside the hall windows, past the twinkling reflections of the chandeliers, were thousands of peaceful protestors. This same night, there was a gathering on Schlossplatz against the AfD (Alternative for Deutschland) party, a far-right anti-immigration nationalist group in Germany. The students’ performance in Weisser Saal was a celebration of, with, and through music. It was a celebration of a gathering of young talent, from near and far, across national borders, languages, and cultures. It was a celebration of inclusion. What was reflected inside the hall and outside of Schlossplatz was the resounding sound of hope. Voices make a difference. Use your voice to speak up, share the love, and share the hope. Special thanks to Pascal Sangl for this video and for all of his help over the course of this event! Pascal is a professional choreographer and dancer who expertly designed the movement of all 151 students, getting them on and off stage and around the audience in a small space. . . . #peace #democracy #protest #inclusion #culturalexchange #stuttgart #badenwürttemberg #choir #concert

Come with us on A Journey of Songs and Sounds! To be here in Weisser Saal was to be physically immersed in the music. These skilled young musicians are from the Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School, the Aurelius Sangerkn?ben Children’s Choir, the International Schools Services Primary Choir, and the Stuttgart Musikschule String Orchestra. They had only just met each other for the first time earlier the same day, and after just a few hours of rehearsal, they put on a spectacular performance together! #CommonTime just had the pleasure of organizing an amazing event! On the morning of February 1st, 150 talented young musicians from Hong Kong and Germany met each other for the first time. After a gift and friendship exchange, they began rehearsing their combined pieces that they would perform later that evening. At the Weisser Saal in the Neues Schloss Stuttgart, the students put on a spectacular show to a full house of parents, teachers, and guests. In just 12 hours together, the students made new friends, beautiful music, and unforgettable memories. We, at CommonTime, are exceedingly proud of what they accomplished! This event came about from our partnership with the Austrian-Chinese Profound Arts Festival, which provided an opportunity to bring these groups together and elevated this experience to another level. Special thanks to Ken and Ava of ACPAF; to conductors Dr. Andrew Hon of HKBUAS, Louise Wang of ISS, Andreas Kramer of Aurelius S?ngerknaben, and Alexander Adiarte of Stuttgarter Musikschule; and to choreographer and CommonTime artist Pascal Sangl. Would your school like to have a cultural exchange event like this one?
