The Continent Collection Sampler is one of our favorite and most popular holiday offerings that we get excited to share each year?? ??It features coffee from all over the world, packaged in our 4oz sample bags. ??It provides an easy and approachable way to enjoy a wide variety of coffee. ??Consumers can try each coffee one at a time or enjoy a comparative tasting by tasting them side-by-side. Commonplace Coffee head roaster and green buyer Vikki Harris shares, "Commonplace Coffee sources from many different coffee producing countries. Every country has their own unique and difficult logistical issues. Luckily, our importers and exporters handle many of the complications of coffee sourcing: ensuring coffee arrives to ports, shipping logistics, warehousing, and more. "We work with importers and exporters that we trust, who facilitate long-term buying relationships with producers, transparency, traceability, and the sourcing of high quality coffees." We're proud to work with some amazing partners and have the opportunity to showcase incredible coffee from all over the world. Learn more about The Continent Collection: https://bit.ly/3AEJd0X

This is our fourth year working with legendary folk artist Jim Pollock, known for his iconic gig posters for the band Phish. We first met Jim when he moved to Pittsburgh during the pandemic and were instantly endeared by his generosity and creativity. We are excited to announce this year's collaboration, which includes a limited edition shirt, magnet, and the newest iteration of Pollock Blend. The blend features coffees from Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Brazil. Proceeds benefit Divided Sky Foundation, an organization founded by Phish Guitarist Trey Anastasio, which delivers quality care and compassionate treatment to those affected by alcoholism and addiction. Since 2021, Commonplace Coffee has proudly donated $15,814.49 to Divided Sky Foundation, and we can't wait to add to that number with this coffee release! What's a Roaster's Choice coffee? At Commonplace Coffee, this special type of offering allows us to present unique and palate-expanding coffees that fall outside our normal sourcing framework. Head Roaster Vikki shares, "When building our coffee lineup, the main goal is to provide our community with ethically and sustainably sourced specialty coffees from a wide array of origins. We aim to make sure that these coffees are accessible, both from a pricing and flavor perspective. "While all of the coffees we source are well above the baseline metric for specialty coffee, there is a large range of quality represented under the specialty coffee umbrella. The Roaster's Choice offerings let the roasting team select coffees with fewer limitations on price and flavor profile, allowing us to feature coffees that are experimental, exciting, and often of a higher quality range." We're proud to offer our Roasting Team the freedom and creativity to source these unique coffees that expand our flavor horizons. Check out our full lineup: https://bit.ly/4dQm35m

Commonplace Coffee is honored to be a pilot partner and the first cafe in the Northeast United States to launch plastic-free GaeaStar cups at three of our Pittsburgh cafes – Garfield, Rockwell Park, and Mexican War Streets. These innovative cups are made of clay, water, and salt – that's it! The concept was initially inspired by CEO and founder Sanjeev Mankotia’s time in India. He noted how street vendors serve tea out of handmade terra cotta cups. GaeaStar’s mission is to replace single-use plastic with their product created via a proprietary 3D printing process. GaeaStar cups are available for $3 and can be added to any to-go order. When guests bring their GaeaStar cup (or any reusable cup) into a Commonplace Coffee cafe, they receive $0.25 off their order. That means, the GaeaStar cup will pay for itself in?as little as 12 visits. Learn more: https://shorturl.at/yAUhF Photos couresty of Tikvah Schwartz and GaeaStar

After ?? Before We're proud to present the newly renovated storefront and coffee bar at our Mexican War Streets cafe, beautifully restored by Pittsburgh-based Essig Renovation. This historic building has been the location of many of fond memories, so it meant a great deal to be able to steward improvements to the aging facade and wooden bar top of this special space. Huge thanks to the Northside Leadership Conference and Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, who helped us utilize grant funds to support this project.
