? Frequently Asked Question: Are the Recovery Capital Index and/or Solomon evidence-based? The term "evidence-based" gets tossed around in the addiction treatment and recovery support world. What it means and what it means in particular contexts are very important distinctions. I breakdown what the term means and what it does not mean in this video. tl:dr ... it does not mean random control trial and/or being published. Towards the end I provide some tips for organizations when they are evaluating tools and technology for their program. Ask a lot of questions and do your due diligence. ?? Launching Solomon's New Analytics! ?? Today we released into Solomon improved analytics, or what we like to call Recovery Intelligence. One thing you'll notice immediately is that the "home page" for Solomon is the data dashboard. Our objective is to help providers of all types and skills become data first and to build a culture of curiosity around the data coming from their participants. There's no hiding the data. It's at your finger tips and you can get as granular as you want or need. For larger, more sophisticated providers, this is not a big deal. But, the bulk, nearly 70% of providers in the addiction treatment and recovery support space, don't have access to participant data, insights, and outcomes, it real-time. We cannot change that overnight -- but we're changing it. This is just the start. We are about to release our new recovery intelligence and analytics tools into Solomon. I've been working with our team to design the analytics experience so that it is not overwhelming and accessible for most to make the best decisions for the greatest impact. We started building Solomon last April. The platform launched in late September. The data you see here is only data captured since launch -- it does not include the previous 4 years worth of data (that's getting merged in the very near future). What we see is that organizations that combine meaningful SMS and Email communications with automated participant reported surveys, get both good data and good data outcomes.
