关于我们
Common Future makes an equitable economy possible by investing in solutions that advance racial equity. Our current economic system does not work for everyone. Generations of Black and Indigenous communities and other communities of color have intentionally been—and currently are—locked out of wealth and power. Centuries of policies that systematically favor a select few cause persistent economic inequities that hold us all back. We must restore power to communities across lines of difference to model and build a future in which we all thrive. Tax Exempt ID: 20-1544255

We already knew there was work to do regardless of the election results, and we know that it will include philanthropy and many others supporting a broader vision of an equitable economy and multiracial democracy.

As I reflect on the last week, with the high highs and lowest of lows, I am reminded that our work ahead was never dependent on the outcome of one election. The fact is that the economy does not work for all, and until it does, we will never reach the promise of a multiracial democracy. At Common Future, we are redoubling and continuing our efforts to build an economy that centers the Black and Indigenous experience in America, while striving for a different, better future. This will need to be done in coalition, as it's clear that when we ignore the wounds of our nations past, we also neglect the working class realities of the present. Now is the time to be clear on the throughline between building the economy we want and the society we deserve—where all Americans have power, choice, and ownership over their lives.

About four years ago, Gregory Hatcher and I shared a stage alongside hundreds to talk through Power & Resource Sharing within the education space. That conversation sparked change nationwide and even won a national award. Today, we reunite to speak through Power & Resource Sharing again - but this time to discuss the relationship with Systems Change with Nonprofits. Fundraising, Networking and Support. This is a conversation you do not want to miss and we had a few seats open up this morning! https://lnkd.in/gQUz39dT
