Stable homes. Strong futures. Vibrant communities.
关于我们
Since our beginning in 1971, CommonBond has flourished into one of the Upper Midwest’s premier providers of affordable housing with services. By integrating services and housing, we were the first to offer more than just a quality place to live. Our model has always been about supporting people in achieving their goals. Today we provide homes and services for more than 12,000 people every year. We develop, own, or manage more than 6,000 affordable rental apartments and townhomes throughout 58 cities in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. Our beliefs in dignity, respect, and inclusiveness for all people are the driving forces behind our commitment to CommonBond residents. From high-quality buildings to life-changing support services, we create environments and experiences that help each resident meet their goals and be their best self. We build stable homes, strong futures, and vibrant communities. We are CommonBond.

At CommonBond, we envision a world where every person can have access to a dignified, affordable home. Yesterday, several CommonBond staff attended Homeless Day on the Hill - an annual day of local advocacy. Thank you to Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless, Homes for All - MN, policymakers, and all who gathered to make their voices heard.
I am proud to be here at the Minnesota State Capitol today for Homeless Day on the Hill, advocating for housing alongside my colleagues from CommonBond Communities and so many others who believe in the power of stable housing. In 2023, Minnesota made a historic investment in housing, recognizing that safe, stable homes are the foundation for health, recovery, and economic security. Now we must protect and expand that investment, especially housing support funding, which provides rent and basic needs for individuals who are long-term homeless or in early recovery after treatment. The urgency is real. With NuWay’s recent closure of its outpatient services and the associated loss of housing subsidies, many in early recovery are at risk of losing stable housing. Without that safety net, they face increased risks of relapse, hospitalization, and homelessness, driving up costs for healthcare, emergency services, and the criminal justice system. The numbers make it clear: Every $1 invested in supportive housing saves taxpayers $2 to $6 in healthcare and public service costs. In Minnesota, people experiencing homelessness are 4 times more likely to visit the ER and 3 times more likely to be hospitalized. Stable housing dramatically reduces relapse rates and supports long-term recovery. We cannot afford to disinvest in housing. The choice is clear: invest now or pay far more later. Let’s keep Minnesota moving forward. #HousingMatters #HomelessDayOnTheHill #RecoverySupport #InvestInHousing

In affordable housing, it can be easy to speak numbers. But behind the numbers, and what's most important, are PEOPLE. That's why CommonBond's housing and services model starts with the foundation of home, but doesn't end there. Our signature Advantage Services support residents in achieving their goals, such as: ?? succeeding in school ?? advancing in their career ?? leading in their community ?? improving their health and wellness ...and so much more!
