2024 was our most impactful year yet!??? ?? Thanks to all of CGM's?partners, supporters and friends who have journeyed with us as grow our impact marketplace to advance human flourishing. Here are some of the highlights: $2.1m - We transacted $510,000 of Verified Impact Assets (VIAs) that delivered over $2.1m worth of social value and advanced access to essential health services, reduced mortality for mothers and babies and tangibly increased learning outcomes for youth. Huge thanks and congratulations to SAP, Schwartz Family Foundation, LifeNet International MiracleFeet, and Imagine Worldwide $96m?- That's the value of the VIAs we issued this year with amazing organizations such as Village Enterprise & Imagine Worldwide. These VIAs demonstrate tangible advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals 1: No Poverty,?4: Quality Education, and 10: Reducing Income Inequality. Bronze?-?We were recognized by the Anthem Awards with a Bronze for Innovation in the Humanitarian Action & Services sector and listed alongside leading organizations like Global Clinton Initiative, World Food Program and Pepsico Foundation. The Anthem Awards $1b?- We evaluated large scale programs like SAP Africa Code Week ? ?that delivered up to $1 billion of social value utilizing our Impact Framework and were able to?support the design of the growing Social Procurement ecosystem (https://bit.ly/3PaejkF). ?Excited to share our recent feature in Devex! Alongside CGM Supplier Village Enterprise, CGM Auditor Moonshot Global LLC, and our resident Development Expert Roger Sandberg, our latest op-ed explores the transformative potential of outcome-based financing (OBF) for development in the wake of USAID's dissolution. In our opinion piece, we delve into how OBF, bolstered by advanced tools and technology, can revolutionize development funding. By standardizing metrics and leveraging digital marketplaces like CGM's, there is ample opportunity to enhance accountability, efficiency and scalability across programs. While the adoption of OBF and tradable impact may take time, European corporates and DFIs are already exploring this solution as a way to optimize capital allocation and attract additional funding support, ushering in a new era of sustainable development. When dramatic new funding gaps converge such as this with an existing need for greater efficiency and effectiveness, the funding paradigms begin to shift quickly. Medair, a global humanitarian organization, is tackling preventable morbidity and mortality in South Sudan by strengthening health and nutrition services for internally displaced and vulnerable communities. Their?Integrated Health and Nutrition Support for Vulnerable Populations?project delivers lifesaving care—integrating primary healthcare, nutrition support, and behavior change strategies to improve maternal and child health in South Sudan. Through CGM’s marketplace, Medair’s impact will be measured and converted into?Verified Impact Assets (VIAs),?allowing funders to directly support tangible health and nutrition outcomes. ?? ?? VIA Transaction Alerts: SAP, Schwartz Family Foundation,?and Imagine Worldwide??? We’re excited to share two more game-changing transactions between SAP and CGM Supplier Imagine Worldwide as well as the Schwartz Family Foundation and Imagine Worldwide. These transactions tangibly advance SDG 4: Quality Education, specifically increasing learning outcomes for primary age students in Malawi. SAP purchased VIAs delivering $100,000 in social value. The Schwartz Family Foundation granted over $160,000 to Imagine Worldwide achieving more than $660,000 in social value and a 4:1 SROI ratio (social return on investment). As a result, CGM delivered 125 Verified Impact Assets (VIAs) from Imagine Worldwide to SAP and 829 VIAs to the Schwartz Family Foundation, which delivered the verified impact claim of improved learning outcomes of 537 primary school students in Malawi.
