This video describes beautifully why we did what we did in refreshing LinkedIn's 950 and 1000 W Maude buildings, but what it doesn’t do is describe what it takes to make it happen behind the scenes.
A construction project starts with an idea that is developed by technical+creative teams based on a program of client requirements that is then executed by innumerable external partners to turn those ideas into reality…architects, interior, graphic and kitchen designers, general contractors, MEP and civil engineers, surveyors, excavation and demo crews, concrete workers, carpenters, general laborers, cleaners, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, balancers, drywallers, scaffolders, painters, AV and IT integrators, graphics integrators, signage vendors, interior and exterior landscapers, millworkers, security integrators, locksmiths, tilers, glaziers, flooring installers, kitchen equipment providers, building controls, window, sustainability consultants, fire protection, concrete polishers…the list goes on!
Internally, our projects could not occur without the unflagging support of space planners, the moves/adds/changes team, physical movers, facilities and ops, engineering, food and beverage, janitorial and security teams, finance and procurement.
Without everyone pitching in, projects like these do not come to fruition and I’m incredibly grateful to have worked closely with so many smart, talented, dedicated, and tireless humans that went above and beyond daily. Thank you!
