The ship was commissioned in #NYC on Saturday and is the second Navy warship to bear the name of Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. As the guided-missile destroyer USS John Basilone (DDG 122) joined the fleet this Veterans Day weekend in New York, Adm. Daryl Caudle, commander of U.S. Fleet Forces Command, reminded the crew they are forged to fight.

  • ICYMI: ??USS The Sullivans (DDG 68) departed Saturday for an independent deployment to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations, where it will conduct maritime security missions to support stability and freedom of navigation in the region.
