?? Update: SJP Chapters Banned ?? Two universities have banned their SJP chapters after months of harassing Jewish students and promoting antisemitism. This is a critical step, but more must be done. We must demand the banning of all groups that spread hate and target Jewish students. Let’s ensure campuses are safe and respectful for everyone.
Let’s make things clear: waving Palestinian/Hamas/Hezbollah flags and holding demonstrations on October 7 is like waving Nazi flags on Holocaust Remembrance Day. This date marks the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, committed by Palestinian terrorists. This isn’t advocacy—it’s a betrayal of human decency.
The call by Jean-Luc Mélenchon to display Palestinian flags on October 7 is pure antisemitism. On that day, Palestinian terrorists committed the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. It’s akin to displaying Nazi flags on Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Denial of this tragedy and the rise of antisemitism have created an environment that allows hatred and violence to grow. Zero tolerance for antisemitism is the only solution. Read here: https://lnkd.in/eEeRe4iN
October 7th marks the worst attack against Jews since the Holocaust—a day that should be dedicated to unity and remembrance. It’s deeply concerning that organizations like Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) are organizing demonstrations on campuses during this solemn anniversary, fueling antisemitism and detracting from a necessary period of reflection and healing. We call on university administrations across North America to take decisive action to prevent on-campus events that glorify terrorism or incite antisemitism. Such activities have no place in our academic institutions, especially on a day symbolizing profound loss and the urgent need to combat hatred. We also urge law enforcement agencies to bolster security at Jewish institutions and memorial events during this time. Let’s honor the memory of those lost by standing together against antisemitism and fostering an environment of respect and understanding.
