In celebration of the Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St. Francis Xavier, Bishop Earl K. Fernandes will celebrate Mass on Tuesday, December 3rd, the feast of St. Francis Xavier, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral. A first-class relic of St. Francis Xavier will be on display for veneration and a blessing with the relic will be offered after Mass. The Exposition of the Sacred Relics begins on November 21st, 2024, and will conclude on January 5th, 2025. St. Francis Xavier was the first Jesuit in India and labored among the Portuguese settlers and ministered to native Indians, preaching and teaching, and converting many to the Catholic faith. The Exposition of the Sacred Relics of Saint Francis Xavier is celebrated every 10 years in Goa, India. The 2024 Evangelization Summit, held at Ohio Dominican University this past Saturday, was a beautiful day of faith and fellowship. The morning started with Mass said by Bishop Earl K. Fernandes and continued with keynote speeches from Bishop Fernandes, Monsignor James Shea (president of the University of Mary), and Dr. Marlon De La Torre (Senior Director for the Department of Evangelization and Catechesis).
