Hey All! First, thank you so much to those who attended our Seasoned Young Professional Panel on Wednesday. For those who weren't able to attend, we wanted to make sure to keep you in the loop. One of the takeaways from the event is that Young Professionals don't know they can ask to attend professional development events. We encourage you to always ask your supervisor about being able to attend these events that may fall during working hours. Questions were asked about appropriate dress attire, how to know when to pivot in a career, how to utilize your connections from previous employment into your current role, and the best way to land an interview. The common answer to all of it was networking! Networking will help you land the interview, get you connected to others in a different field, and continue relationships no matter where you are in your career journey. CYP and the Chamber are here to help you with networking! There are many ways to stay connected. 1. Join CYP - it's $50 a year. This can be paid by yourself or your employer. I suggest asking if they would cover your membership dues. If you need me to ask for you, just let me know! https://lnkd.in/gvXY3SvJ 2. Follow CYP on social media Instagram - https://lnkd.in/gNsSMysm Facebook - https://lnkd.in/gxi4U9nd LinkedIn - https://lnkd.in/gxcFiE-9 3. Invite friends to join you. They can read more about CYP on our webpage - https://lnkd.in/gZa2-TSK Lastly, we ask that you take our survey, this helps us better understand the wants and needs you have as a young professional and will direct us on future programming. We appreciate you all, and hope to see you soon! Thank you, Crissy Riley
