Snow is in the forecast for Thursday, and our Snow Dogs are ready to roll! ?? Our Airfield Maintenance team is committed to keeping air traffic moving safely, no matter the weather. ?? With over 25 team members per shift working 12-hour rotations, our crews operate specialized equipment—like snowplows, snow blowers, and deicer trucks—to clear runways, taxiways, and more at John Glenn Columbus International and Rickenbacker International Airports. ?? Fun fact: Our team doesn’t use salt in the process. Instead, we rely on a mix of potassium acetate, sodium formate, and sand to ensure safe operations for aircraft. We’ve been preparing since mid-October, and we’re proud of the dedicated efforts of our snow team. While airlines manage the deicing of planes and flight schedules, we’re here to ensure the airfield is winter-ready and safe for passengers. Stay informed by downloading your airline’s app for flight updates and visit FlyColumbus.com for more tips. Safe travels this winter! #WinterOperations #SnowDogs #FlyColumbus

  • Our new terminal's design celebrates what makes Columbus so unique and welcoming. Inspired by the convergence of our city’s rivers, the Y-shape layout of the terminal mirrors the way Columbus brings together diverse people, ideas, and experiences. At the heart of this design is a central marketplace, a communal hub that reflects the vibrant spirit of Columbus and invites everyone to come together in one space. Beyond the Y-shape, our team, and the teams at Gensler and Moody Nolan, have designed every detail to enhance your experience. Expansive windows will bring in natural light and offer stunning views of the airfield and downtown Columbus. And with a single, efficient security checkpoint, everyone will be able to enjoy easy access to the same amenities, creating a seamless and connected travel experience. We’re excited to unveil this space that’s as dynamic and welcoming as the city we call home, and we can’t wait for you to experience it once we open in 2029! Enjoy these new renderings, now at 90% design. #CMHNext Rendering 1: Aerial Rendering 2: Ticket Lobby Rendering 3: Checkpoint Rendering 4: Central Marketplace
