At the October Board Meeting, Scott Brown from the Auditor of State - Ohio office presented CMHA's board and financial staff with the Auditor of State Award. The Auditor of State Award is presented to local governments upon the completion of a financial audit that meet the following criteria defined as a clean audit report. The audit report does not contain any findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, uniform guidance findings, or questioned costs. This award represents the hard work of all CMHA's employees and it's Board who strive for accounting excellence each and every day. CMHA manages an annual budget of nearly $1 Billion dollars. Over the last five years, CMHA has achieved over $6 Billion in economic output, generated over $1.8 Billion in earnings, and contributed over $818 Million to the State of Ohio Gross State Product (GSP). Thank you to Michael T.W. Carey and Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition for recognizing Harriet's Hope with the 2024 Charles L. Edson Tax Credit for Excellence Award in the special population category. Harriet's Hope is a 52-unit community for survivors of human trafficking that offers wraparound services for the families that call it home. It is the first of its kind in Columbus and one of the first in the nation. CMHA is making significant impact! In our latest Economic Impact Study, conducted by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce & Ohio Chamber of Commerce Research Foundation, the research found CMHA generated a staggering $1.18 billion in economic output between 20218-2023. According to the report for every dollar CMHA spends the economic output increases by $2.20 across Ohio. CMHA's direct investment resulted in 9,017 total jobs across Ohio.
