  • Wondering What a Take Action Project Looks Like? See One in Action! Each year, Year 3 students in our Global Scholars Diploma program take their learning beyond the classroom with a Take Action Project—a student-led initiative designed to create real impact in the community. On March 15, you can see one in action at the Project See the Good Market, led by a student committed to connecting Ohioans with businesses doing good in the community. Stop by the Dublin Branch Library from 12 PM to 5 PM to meet local change-makers and discover ways to get involved. #GlobalScholarsDiploma #SeeTheGood #TakeAction

  • Out of 384 student responses, 27% expressed a desire for more empathy in The World We Want. Their voices remind us that, in a world often divided, kindness, understanding, and social support are more important than ever. They are calling for a future built on care and compassion—one where we listen more, judge less, and uplift each other. Their vision is clear, and it challenges all of us to do better. Let’s work toward a world where empathy is at the heart of everything we do. #TheWorldWeWant #Empathy #CCWA50th

  • In this powerful message, Nobel peace laureate Maria Ressa urges young people to see the world clearly, stand by their values, and reject cynicism. Her words remind us that the choices we make—how we engage with others, how we define right and wrong—shape the future. At CCWA, we believe in empowering young leaders to do just that. As we celebrate 50 years, we remain committed to fostering global competence and creating The World We Want. What kind of world will you help build? #TheWorldWeWant #GlobalLeadership #CCWA50

  • On this 25th anniversary of International Mother Language Day, we celebrate the rich tapestry of linguistic diversity that shapes our world and our community. Languages are not only vital for education and sustainable development but also serve as the vessels through which cultures thrive and knowledge is passed down. In Columbus, Ohio, over 100 languages are spoken by students in central Ohio schools, and approximately 18.4% of residents speak a language other than English at home, reflecting our city's vibrant multicultural fabric. This diversity enriches our society, broadening our collective horizons. Multilingual education, especially for minority and indigenous languages, bridges the gap between learning and cultural identity, paving the way for more equitable and cohesive societies. As we honor a quarter-century of efforts to preserve linguistic diversity, let's reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding cultural heritage, enriching education, and nurturing peaceful communities. #InternationalMotherLanguageDay #LinguisticDiversity #MultilingualEducation #CulturalHeritage #ColumbusOhio

  • A just transition to a sustainable future means ensuring that no one is left behind. As we move toward a low-carbon economy, we must uplift the most vulnerable—through job creation, retraining, and strong social protections. Environmental sustainability and social justice must go hand in hand. Global Scholars Diploma students are already taking action to build The World We Want by tackling global challenges that connect sustainability and justice: ?? Fighting Human Trafficking – Raising awareness and advocating for stronger protections for vulnerable communities. (SDG #16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) ?? Language Equity – Bridging communication gaps to ensure equal access to education and resources. (SDG #10: Reduced Inequalities) ?? Preventing E-Waste – Promoting responsible disposal and reuse of electronics to protect the environment. (SDG #12: Responsible Consumption and Production) ?? Palm Oil & Deforestation – Educating communities on the environmental impact of unsustainable palm oil production. (SDG #12 & SDG #15: Life on Land) At CCWA, we empower students to think globally and act locally—understanding how climate action, economic transformation, and empathy must shape the future. Together, we can build a world that is both environmentally sustainable and socially just. #TheWorldWeWant #WorldDayofSocialJustice #GlobalScholarsDiploma #Sustainability #SocialJustice #SDGs #YouthAction
