The Military Veterans of Columbia University are proud to lead the Columbia University Food Drive, supporting both students in need and the broader New York City community. Our goal is to collect 35,000 canned goods and $35,000 by April 17th, with proceeds split between the Columbia Food Pantry and the New York Food Bank to aid local communities. Here’s how you can contribute: - Item Donations: Canned soup, canned fruit, any non-perishables, and monetary donations (please contact [email protected] for monetary donations). - Drop-Off Locations: Boxes are available in most buildings on campus. Check out the attached map for all donation spots! This initiative is a student veteran-led, inter-school collaboration at Columbia, dedicated to making a meaningful impact in our community. The MilVets extend their gratitude to Columbia University Interim President Katrina Armstrong, Columbia GS Dean Lisa Rosen-Metsch, and Columbia GS Vice Dean Curtis Rodgers for their support. For more details and a map of all locations, visit MilVets on Instagram: @MilVets.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to visit Citi’s Global Headquarters with the Columbia Milvets, and the experience was truly inspiring. It gave me a deeper understanding of the finance world as a whole, from investment banking to capital markets, wealth management, and more. One of the key takeaways for me was Maria Abdullah’s advice about the “all hands on deck” mentality—it really resonated with me. She emphasized how crucial it is to bring your best to every situation, no matter how big or small the task. On top of that, gaining a deeper understanding of Citi’s recruitment process gave me a clear sense of how to navigate my own path in finance. It helped me see how important it is to be prepared and proactive as I explore opportunities in the field. But more than anything, I’m grateful for the meaningful connections I made along the way. Mauricio Huertas, MBA James Pijuan, Aaron Solorzano, Graham Lewis, MBA, and Bryan Rivera. Huge thanks to everyone at Citi for such a valuable and impactful experience, and Kyle Shrader and the Milvets team for making this happen!
