She developed a comprehensive tracking process that assists our field teams who complete safety inspections on our systems, supporting quality assurance. Her work was recognized with a 2024 NiSource Mission Medallion Award for her contributions to our mission of delivering safe, reliable service for our customers.

    Today is #EnergyEfficiencyDay, and we're sharing tips to help make your home more energy efficient this season. To learn more about energy efficiency programs available and ways to save energy, visit: https://ow.ly/q4oP50TBt6U 1. Clean or replace your air filters regularly, and schedule an annual furnace tune-up. 2. Seal windows and doors by weatherstripping or caulking all cracks. 3. Open curtains and blinds to use natural light as a source of heat during the day. 4. Wash laundry in cold water. 5. Turn the dishwasher off at the drying cycle and open the door to air-dry dishes. 6. Unplug appliances when not in use.

For Columbia Gas of Kentucky Customer Service Technician Josh Burford, his safety mindset while responding to an emergency call at a customer's home helped save lives. Josh recently received a NiSource Mission Medallion Award for his work keeping our customers and communities safe.     Recently, NiSource was recognized as the "Out of the Box" awardee by the University of Illinois Chicago for exceeding its target in monarch conservation by 33%.?The award further recognizes NiSource's efforts to align the CCAA with the company’s Biodiversity Commitment. In the 2023 program year, NiSource implemented 8,013 adopted acres, conducting monitoring at 70 plots with an average of 98 milkweed stems and 38% nectar plant cover per habitat acre. NiSource also developed 20 biodiversity management plans for Key Biodiversity Areas noting strong alignment with the CCAA's conservation measures. This recognition is a testament to NiSource's successful year of Monarch CCAA and biodiversity implementation and its ongoing commitment to transforming rights-of-way into pollinator habitats.
