The Columbia County Human Resources Department is pleased to provide information to its employees, retirees and the general public. The Human Resources department processes new hires through payroll and completes orientations; administers employee and retiree health benefits; is responsible for administration and negotiations of all collective bargaining agreements; and is responsible for directing the provisions of all federal, state and local employment discrimination laws and statues, including the Equal Opportunity Law, the New York State Human Rights Laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the County Sexual Harassment and Workplace Violence Prevention policies. The Columbia County Human Resources department works with the Columbia County Civil Service Commission in the recruitment, selection and promotion of staff.
