The Association of COLSA Employees (ACE) was established by our Founder and Chairman Mr. Collazo in the mid 1980s. His goal was to create an employee-run organization that would promote the concept of teamwork and develop a sense of pride for working at COLSA. Now, with ACE operating at multiple locations across the United States, it continues to foster relationships amongst our #FamilyofProfessionals. Our 2025 ACE President Mackenzie Baker alongside the rest of the ACE board strives to offer fun events for employees and their families, raise funds to benefit COLSA employees who experience tragedy, and give back to the community through employee fundraisers. Since its inception, the Innovation Xchange has grown into a nationally recognized event, bringing together experts to discuss unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), advanced air mobility (AAM), and cybersecurity challenges. One of the standout sessions this year was the Counter-UAS Panel, which provided critical insights into the evolving threats and defense strategies. The use of drones in recent global conflicts has redefined their roles and underscored the growing need for counter-UAS technology. Just a couple of the Key Takeaways from the panel: ?? Remote ID is essential for defense—we need to know what’s in the sky. ?? AI is transforming drone operations, shaping both offensive and defensive capabilities. The panel was expertly moderated by COL (Ret.) Ernesto Cortez, MBA of Booz Allen Hamilton and featured an outstanding lineup of speakers: ?? Mike Ledbetter, DBA – VP, Cyber & Information Warfare, COLSA Corp, Redstone Arsenal ?? Richard Godfrey - Warrant Officer, US Army Cyber Capability Development & Integration Directorate ??
