ColorStack's best kept secret isn't so much of a secret anymore. Our campus chapters are firing on all cylinders right now ?? Two years ago I hired Johana Duarte to grow our chapter network and it's amazing to see what her leadership has generated. Every day I'm seeing our student leaders localize the execution of our mission in ways I could've never imagined. They are organizing city-wide hackathons, producing promo videos for general body meetings, and raising money to attend conferences... that's just in the past week ?? With over 60 chapters now I can't play favorites, thank you all for your leadership and commitment to growing our mission. Dr. Marsha Rhea Williams made history as the first Black woman to earn a PhD in Computer Science in the U.S.! Her groundbreaking work in computational research and academia paved the way for more Black women in tech. Her story is a powerful reminder that representation in STEM matters and that innovation thrives when diverse voices are at the table.

Before there were digital computers, there was Katherine Johnson—a brilliant mathematician whose calculations were crucial to NASA’s first human spaceflights. Her work on orbital mechanics ensured the success of John Glenn’s historic orbit around Earth, and she continued to break barriers for Black women in STEM. Her legacy reminds us that precision, perseverance, and passion can take us beyond the stars.
