Our own Greg Phillips, A.A.E., recently participated in a networking event alongside local business owners and community members to discuss the substantial impact of the airport on our city. The event served as a platform to showcase the airport's positive advancements and initiatives.
We were beyond excited to have Greg Phillips, A.A.E., the Director of Aviation for the Colorado Springs Airport as the keynote speaker at our 3rd COS Business Networking Event. Greg shared some impressive facts about the airport—like its 275,000 square-foot terminal, 9,000 parking spaces, and efficient airfield that’s been operational since 1927—but what truly resonated was how he embraced Colorado Springs’ identity as Colorado’s small airport. In a world where bigger is often seen as better, Greg made it clear that the Colorado Springs Airport proudly chooses a different path. And it’s not just about size; it’s about experience. A smaller airport means shorter lines, quicker waits, and less hassle—a more enjoyable, low-stress place to begin and end your journey. With stunning views of Pikes Peak, and easy access to major highways, it’s an airport that understands its community. This message goes beyond aviation—it’s about the power of embracing who we are, finding strength in the unique, and turning “#small” into a competitive advantage. We are so proud to have Greg’s leadership and vision shaping the future of our city. ?? Colorado Springs, let’s keep flying high! #ColoradoSprings #COSAirport #BusinessGrowth #Networking #Leadership
