Colorado Public Radio (CPR) is a 501(c) (3) organization that produces and curates in-depth and meaningful news and music, establishing thoughtful connections to Colorado for listeners seeking to be informed, enlightened and entertained. Roughly 95 percent of CPR’s funds come from the private support of listeners, businesses and foundations. With that support, CPR maintains a statewide broadcast network, making CPR News, CPR Classical and CPR's OpenAir accessible throughout the region. CPR News delivers in-depth, insightful and impartial news and information from around the world, across the nation and throughout Colorado, examining its relevance to our state and connecting it to our community. CPR Classical takes listeners on an in-depth exploration of thoughtfully curated music – with an emphasis on Colorado’s classical community – providing context to a broad range of meaningful and compelling works from past to present. CPR’s OpenAir takes listeners inside the world of new and independent music – exposing them to up-and-coming artists and highlighting Colorado’s local music scene.

Colorado Public Radio invites you to attend a feedback session focused on the accessibility of our public and event forum spaces. The session will take place at our new Denver facility. Colorado Public Radio is in the process of planning the design of its new headquarters, which will feature an event space and areas open to the public. We are seeking feedback from members of the disability community around the planning and design of these spaces to ensure they are as accessible as possible for Coloradans to enjoy. CPR News recently published a major investigation into Caring for Denver, the not-for-profit organization that manages the money raised from a 2018 sales tax increase to fund mental health and drug treatment programs. The year-long review by CPR's Ben Markus found that while grants went to some of the city’s most established mental health and drug treatment providers, tax money was also given to companies with no history or license to provide behavioral healthcare, and to some companies run by individuals with lengthy criminal histories.
